How to get to Costa Maya Water Park

Mayá is located in the charming fisherman village of Mahahual in Costa Maya in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo. There are several ways to arrive to the promised paradise but all roads lead to your adventure in the jungle.
FROM THE PORT OF CALLCosta Maya is one of Mexico’s most prominent cruise port welcoming the world’s most important cruise ships who arrive to the destination for a day of fun and adventure. Mayá, Lost Mayan Kingdom is located just 5 minutes away from your port of call. You can venture into your adventure by walking (5 min walk) or taking one of our trollies departing from the port every 10 to 15 minutes.
- For travelers flying into the destination, the two points of arrival are Cancun International Airport and Chetumal International Airport located in the capital of the state.
FROM THE CANCUN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORTIf you’re flying into Cancun, there is currently a direct bus to Mahahual departing from Downtown Cancun.. The bus makes stops in Playa del Carmen and Tulum on the way, picking up additional passengers. The comfortable bus goes to and from Cancun three times a day.
- Expeditioners looking for a true adventure can rent a car from the airport and dive into the beauty of the 4-hour scenic drive from Cancun. Mahahual can be reached through the state’s major highway 307 that connects all major travel attractions from Riviera Maya to Costa Maya including Playa del Carmen, Tulum, Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve and past Mahahual, Bacalar and the state capital, Chetumal.
FROM THE CHETUMAL INTERNATIONAL AIRPORTFrom the state capital Chetumal, there are several bus and vans that make regular trips to and from Chetumal including the Chetumal International Airport.
- You can also take a taxi service to Mahahual or rent a car and plan a complete excursion to the other travel destinations in the area like Bacalar or Chacchoben Mayan Ruins.
