Costa Maya Family Activities | Monkey’s Island
Covered in thick jungle and mystery, tales of the lost city of the monkey Mayan god have been around for years. The locals say remnants of the site can be seen among the tree tops but legends says that only the young at heart can enter it.
When Stephen Johnson first arrived to the Lost Mayan Kingdom in the 1940s, his entrance into the Monkey’s sanctuary was denied and the extension of the kingdom known as the Monkey’s Island was engulfed by the jungle, only available for the adventurous young.
With pint-sized slides and miniature pools, the kid’s area at Mayá, Lost Mayan Kingdom is reserved for our smallest expedicionaries who will know at heart the way to reach the island of fun for a day filled with laughter and excitement in this kid-sized version of Costa Maya’s park attractions.
